For the bananas I picked out 4 different techniques and applied a different one to each painting. The first panel was cool colors, the second panel was warm colors with salt added, the third panel was monochrome, and the fourth panel was complimentary colors. For the lines in the bananas I made them the colors of the background they were sitting on. I definitely could have taken my time and focused on really making the bananas looking as realistic as possible.

This mini project was to paint a fruit in watercolor. I decided to pick a banana to challenge myself a little to get those darker yellow values in the shading of the banana. On the base of the stem and on the end of the banana I added in a little bit of blue to make the dark shading in the picture I had on the banana. I added on the brown spots after the yellow had dried and lightened up the spots by rubbing them with water and a paintbrush. Overall I am very proud of it and I think I did a good job on this piece.
This was the value chart for watercolor paint before starting the watercolor projects. I started with the darkest and lightest. After the lightest I gradually added more color to the paint to get up to the darkest value.
