This class has been a fun one. I got close with the people who I didn't know too well from the past years and met some new ones that I'm happy to call friends. I learned many new techniques that I'm excited to use in the future and improve on as well. I'll be sure to visit the classroom next semester because it was so much fun :) It was one of favorite classes that I've had in my high school experience, and I wish it could have been year long. Thank you for being a really cool art teacher <3

For this piece I painted a picture of my guinea pig. I used acrylic because I figured it would go the quickest and it was the easiest option. This was my favorite piece by far. I am very proud of how the fur looks and the ears. I think I did a good job on the proportions and perspective of this piece. The only thing I would change is making the nose a little smaller than it is. It just looks a little too big for the size of the guinea pig. But otherwise I think I color matched pretty well and got all the different textures
This one took a little bit more time than everything else because I was trying to get the perspective right. Although I still didn't get it right at the end I am pleased with how this turned out. This is my second landscape painting and I am very proud of how I did. The sand looks like sand, the water looks like water, and the rocks look like rocks. The little cliff in the back was my favorite part because I took my time on the perspective of it. If I did this again I wouldn't change the sand or the cliff. The water and the big cliff in the foreground could use work on perspective, and the cliff in the foreground could use more texture and detail.
This was my first time using oils so I tried to apply what I knew about water color and acrylic to the oil. I enjoyed how the colors could blend so easily even after letting the piece sit out for a bit. I found it so easy to add in soft shadows and highlights because of this. All in all oil paints were fun to use and felt nice and creamy, I hope to be able to use them more in the future.
